State Science Day: Celebration of Science Parking Information
The Ohio State University Ohio Union Grand Ballroom (1739 N High St, Columbus, OH 43210)
Parking Information: Parking for State Science Day will be at the Ohio Union South Garage (1759 North High Street Columbus, Ohio 43210) and the Ohio Union North Garage (1780 College Road Columbus, Ohio 43210). Please note, visitors can enter both garages from College Road & High Street (map 1). The Ohio Union South Garage will have an “event” rate of $10.00 that is paid by credit card upon admission. The North garage will be an hourly rate that you pay at the parking kiosk.
Overflow Parking: The suggested overflow parking is at South Campus Gateway Garage (75 E 11th Ave, Columbus, OH 43201). This garage is a 6–8-minute walk to the Ohio Union and can be accessed from 9th or 11th Avenue (map 2). The Gateway garage will be an hourly rate that you pay at the parking kiosk.

We are celebrating Ohio’s students that went above and beyond with their State Science Day projects with an event at The Ohio State University on Saturday, May 10, 2025.
Ohio students in grades 5-12 that received a Superior on their State Science Day project received an invitation to attend the State Science Day Celebration of Science Showcase event.
The Celebration of Science will include a keynote, a showcase of student posters, a panel discussion during lunch, OSU tours, and award ceremony.

Keynote from Dr. Matthew Wu, Assistant Professor, Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry
9:30am-11:35am: Showcase of Posters
• Group 1: 9:30-10:30am
• Group 2: 10:35-11:35am
11:45am-1:15pm: Visit to academic site with snack on way to site
1:30-2:30pm: Lunch with State Science Day Alumni Panel
2:30-4:00pm: Awards Ceremony

4:00pm: Conclusion of event
